Ko Pu or Pu Island as it is known locally is a beautiful, unspoiled island paradise situated in between Krabi town and Ko Lanta not far from the famous island of Ko Phi Phi in the Andaman sea. The northern part of the island is called Ban Ko Pu while the southern part is called Ban Ko Jam and is around 30 square kilometers in size. Just over 3,000 people populated Ko Pu earning a living from fishing, cloth weaving and a rubber plantation. Three primary schools provide education for about 600 children.

| With little impact from tourism Ko Pu can justify the phrase ‘unspoilt and undiscovered’ with fresh water from its highest jungle peak (395 mtrs) serving the local villages and its rainforest containing an abundance of wildlife and rare plants. | ![]() |
